But let’s back up a bit … why should you care about your NOURISH Evolution anyway?
You know how it feels when 5:00 rolls around, you’ve got nothing planned for dinner, nothing in the fridge but some cheese and borderline vegetables, and everyone wanting a piece of you? You’re stressed. You’re anxious. You feel like you’re failing.
Now imagine the flipside. It’s 5:00. You’ve had a picture in your head all day of what you’re going to make tonight. You open the fridge and pantry and pull out exactly what you need to make it. Within 20 minutes—40, if you take your time—you’ve got an amazing dinner on the table. You feel calm. There’s a sense of accomplishment and fulfillment. You feel good from head to toe to soul, and it resonates for hours, even days.
I know, that can sound kind of fluffy–peace and tranquility and all. But here’s where it gets concrete. While everyone’s NOURISH Evolution has its own individual landscape, there is a well-trod path that leads from Blissfully Blind Prairie to the Land of NOURISH.
You may be asking, what does the Land of NOURISH look like? I’ll tell you. But first, I’ll tell you what it feels like. It’s feeling strong and healthy and energetic and content. It’s being at a weight where you feel comfortable in your body without fearing you’re going to fall off some wagon.
So what does it look like? It’s as simple as filling your plate with:
Loads of seasonal vegetables made scrumptious with healthy fats
A variety of whole grains as frequently as possible
A smidgen of protein that you’ve been picky about sourcing and add as a little somethin’ extra to those vegetables and whole grains versus being the center of the plate
When you indulge in those three things on a regular basis, everything falls into place.
But here’s the catch. It’s easy to talk about–heck, nowadays lots of people are saying exactly what I just did. The trick is integrating those three things into real life–real budgets, real habits, real picky eater preferences and, of course, real time. It’s not just going on a diet or making a meal plan. It’s changing your life.
That’s where NOURISH Network comes in.
When you join the NOURISH Evolution and declare your evolution, you’ll find a deep conviction sets in and you start to see the challenge of shifting from processed food to real food not as one of losing (a few quick pounds, giving up carbs, refraining from your favorite treat forever, etc.), but one of gaining (energy, peace of mind, confidence). It’s a lovely evening stroll around the neighborhood that you have the privilege of taking for the rest of your life.
