    eatwild.com is a great source for local, pastured meat. It links you up with farmers and ranchers in your area.

    There’s also localharvest.org, which I find is a good tool to track down local producers.

    And I’m going to start out the list by giving a shout out to Jeff Deasy’s American Feast. Prices can be steep, but browse around and you’ll find items that fit all budgets. Cool, too, that you can find products by region.

    This subject always comes up, so I wanted to start an ongoing conversation where we can capture an active list. It’s somewhat ironic that one of the best options for sourcing local, sustainably raised ingredients–outside of produce–is online. But I’m glad we have the option! So . . . where do you shop online for local, sustainable foods?
