Meet Lia

Lia wrote her first article for Cooking Light in 1998 and was made a Contributing Editor shortly after. Since then, she has contributed hundreds of recipes and articles to dozens of major magazines, including Bon Appétit, Better Homes & Gardens, Eating Well, Health, Prevention and Fitness.

It was her passion for nourishing people that led Lia to launch her company, Nourish Network, in 2009. Today, Nourish Network’s online offerings and workplace wellness initiatives teach people to choose, cook and enjoy food that nourishes body, family, community and planet.

Lia also appears frequently as a nourishing mealtime expert on local and national television, and as a guest chef and speaker at cooking schools, corporations and spas. She has consulted for a decade and a half on branding, messaging and social media for companies like British Airways, Bonterra Organic Wines, Earthbound Farm, Clos du Bois and Spectrum Organic Products.

Lia was named 2012 Entrepreneur of the Year by the International Association of Culinary Professionals (IACP) and is past Chair of their Food Writers, Editors and Publishers section. She also served as Communication Chair of the Sonoma County North chapter of Slow Food from 2009 to 2012.

Lia holds an MBA from University of Florida, a BA in Communication from Tulane University, and has studied at the Sorbonne in Paris and the Culinary Institute of America Greystone in Napa Valley. She lived in New York, New Orleans, Paris, Greece, Costa Rica and San Francisco before putting down roots in Healdsburg, CA with her husband, Christopher, and daughter, Noemi.
